After a lot of teasing Nvidia finally released its new RTX 3000 series of graphic cards which are based on their new Ampere Architecture. Today they revealed RTX 3080, 3070 and 3090 graphic cards. The RTX 3080 will be launching on September 17 at a price of $699, RTX 3090 is set to launch on September 24 at a price of $1499 and RTX 2070 might launch on October for $499.
These second generation of RTX cards are really powerful than their predecessor. At the live event they showed some footage from these new cards which are absolutely amazing. The RTX 2090 has 24 GB of GDDR6X memory, according to Nvidia which is capable of running games at 8K resolution at 60 FPS. The RTX 3080 has 10 GB of GDDR6X and RTX 3070 has 8 GB of GDDR6 memory.
Ampere card will have 30 shader-TFLOPS, 57 RT-TFLOPS and 283 Tensor-TFLOPS. The new thermal design and dual-fan configuration improves the airflow and thermal performance. These cards also run cooler and quieter. Nvidia says that the performance of RTX 3080 is two times better than RTX 2080 Ti. These cards will also use new 12-pin connectors instead of old two-eight pin connectors, but they said, they will include adapter in the package.
