As confirmed ZTE has officially announced their latest phone, ZTE Axon 20 5G which has the world’s first under display front camera. They announced this phone on September 1 and might to launch on September 10 (GSM Arena).
This is not a top of the line flagship device, this is a mid-range phone having Snapdragon 765. But this device also supports 5G, which is awesome at a price point of about €270 (GSM Arena). The display is 6.92-inches OLED display (1080 x 2460) with 90Hz refresh rate. The under-display front camera is a 32-MP f/2.0 camera capable of shooting 1080p videos at 30 FPS. We can find a quad camera setup on the back consisting of a 64-MP wide camera, an 8-MP ultrawide camera, a 2-MP macro camera and a 2-MP depth camera.
This phone is available in 4 colors. The base model comes with 128 GB internal storage and 6 GB RAM which goes up to 256 GB storage and 8 GB RAM, the storage is expandable using microSD card. For biometrics you get a under display optical fingerprint sensor. This phone ships with a 4220mAh battery and supports 30W fast charging (Quick Charge 4+).
After notch and pop-up cameras, every manufacturer is trying their best to come up with a phone that have under-display camera. Now, ZTE has finally done it. We just saw a video of Xiaomi’s 3rd Generation under-display camera few days ago. And after this, we can assume that under display cameras might be the next big thing in smartphones.
